Ahoy, me hearties! 'tis the day! Today is TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY!
So, go talk like a pirate. When you order that latte for the first time, " Arrrrr, ye be mixin' me up a grande drink thar, wench! when you pick up that copy of 'the black pearl" @ blockbuster. " ye be handin' me the booty".
Stuff like that.....
Get your eye patch out. Maybe a parrot or two. Fly your skull & crossbones.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Ahoy, found a link on the international talk like a pirate site, www.talklikeapirate.com –
It’s www.keeptothecode.com. Aye, it’s the ‘official’ site for all pirates of the caribbean fans. Or so they say. Let’s check it out together. . . .
But remember, they’re more like guidlelines. . . .
Morning,
headed into work early, ok, even earlier than normal today. Today is my true test of geekness, being on a Skype webcast with Leo Laporte on Canadian TV. I have to leave work a little early to come home and get the set ready, and get my makeup on (just kidding about the makeup). This week has been one of those anomaly weeks. Time has moved so slowly during the day, but, here it is Thursday already. Would be a good question to ask Mr. Einstein when we see him again. . .
Anyway, we're ok, just a taxing week, ha ha ha. . . Oh, the bluegrass jam in Poplar Grove is this Saturday, so come on over and have a good time with us. . .
Hoping for a bike ride this Sunday, and a little yard work in there too.
Only a month 'til the next Pirates movie, arrrrr, so clear the decks for the Memorial Day weekend. . .
Gotta go, see you later. .
bye.
T
hope you had a great Halloween. We did. Chilly but not raining. That's a good thing in the midwest. Rain on Halloween is a real show stopper. There were so many cute and polite kids this year. Little tiny pirates. Cute cowgirls. A cute little tiny toddler monster, who as was our good fortune, had her first piece of candy @ our home. The perfect Halloween experience for all of us.
We taped and watched, and are still watching more ghost hunting, finding, talking to, running from, wetting ourselves, programs then we can watch in a few days. Ghost Hunters was live from the Stanley Hotel in Colorado. That's the location of Steven King's The Shining. was written and filmed. Most Haunted, a british program was live for three nights. More screaming, and non paranormal than most of us get to experience. . . How lucky we are.
In yet another pirate adventure, so to speak, we are headed to Chicago to see a play. The Pirate Queen. Brought to you by the folks who brought you River Dance. The review will be up later. . .
Again, here we are on the slippery slope to new years day. So much to do, experience, attempt, and share. Stay tuned for what happens.
Not much else to report 'til later in the weekend.
See ya. . .
Greetings!
. . . It's the most wonderful time of the year. . .!! Well, here it is, Halloween. A day with several different levels of importance. The last day of the old pagan calendar. The night, when the veil is thinnest between the living and the dead. Tomorrow starts the heady sleigh ride down to the new new years eve. . . Ghosts, goblins, fairies, ninjas, dragons, pirates. What will appear @ our door this evening? Oh the excitement!
Hope you enjoy your Halloween as much as we will!!
Boo!!!!
